Miss Heather Jones - Lead Teacher in the Autism Base
Heather has taught students with Special Needs for nearly 30 years in a wide variety of settings. She has worked with students on the autistic spectrum for over 20 years and is trained in TEACCH, Advanced TEACCH, PECS and Intensive Interaction. She is passionate about the work she does with ASC students and wants the best for every single student and their families.
Ms Bev Gilvear
Bev has been teaching for over 10 years in a variety of settings before joining Samuel Laycock in September 2013. She has taught Humanities and English in main school before joining us in the Autistic Base in September 2106. Bev has an interest in Autism and is keen to develop her skills and knowledge in this area. She currently teaches our Year 8 class.
Mrs S Silvio
Sara has taught children with Autism for over 10 years in special school settings before joining Samuel Laycock in September 2017. Sara has a Masters in Autism and is a qualified SENDco. She loves teaching and making a difference to the lives of young people.
