I am proud to welcome you to Samuel Laycock and the students we serve. Our school is on a journey towards becoming a good school because this is what our students deserve. Our staff are committed to providing the highest standards of care and support for secondary aged students with Moderate Learning Difficulties (including Autism) in Tameside.
Our intent is that through high quality teaching and learning we will 'inspire our students towards independence so that they become well rounded citizens.'
We work in partnership with; Parents, Governors, Tameside Local Authority, other Special Schools, The Specialist School Support Partnership (SSSP) and college placements to support our students and realise their true potential. This partnership provides mutual support and challenge to continually improve the provision for our students. These schools are; Cromwell High School, Hawthorns School, Oakdale School, Thomas Ashton School and the Tameside Pupil Referral Service.
We work hard to ensure successful transitions for all of our students at Samuel Laycock, both when joining and leaving the school in collaboration with feeder schools and future educational placements. We welcome feedback to improve our provision.
Welcome to our website and I hope you have a very positive experience of our school and all that we do for our students.
