Lords Cricket Tournament
The 15th Table Cricket Final
Table Cricket has seen positive development over the past 10 years and has helped many young people with a disability to engage in sport and recreation. When Table Cricket was developed it was aimed at young people with sever physical disabilities who were unable to access other sporting activities.
With the changing disability landsscape, Lords's Taverners have developed a fully inclusive pan disability Table Cricket programme aimed at both schools and community groups under 25 years old in order to cater for a wider range of young people with a disability that would benfit from Table Cricket. Now in its second year we have seen and increase in participation levels of Table Cricket and provide stronger links to groups that are currently playing.
Activity started in January 2016, with 23 County Cricket Boards delivering as part of the Lord's Taverners Table Cricket Programme. There are now 30 County Boards involved and this year we have seen a 30% increase in teams takin part in the regional cometitions with over 440 young people competing
I would also like to thank all the staff and students involved that made this event happen as it was a very good day and enjoyed by all.
A Big thank you to the
